The Feed Lot at Green Gulch Ranch consists of four 7.5 acre lots, heated water drinkers, 120ft concrete bunks and custom feed (to suite the need of the animals).

Green Gulch Ranch farms 3,000 + acres with over 1,000 acres in high grade alfalfa, primarily for the Sacramento Valley dairy market as well as several hundred tons of dry land grain. All of this production is in the large 3x3x4 bale weighing 1,400 pounds. The Ranch also specializes in small bale hay for the horse market with wild timothy grass hay from their meadows, alfalfa, and grassy-alfalfa mix – all from irrigated fields.
The Ranch raises a few head of all natural grown beef to sell to friends and family. These grass fed cattle are part of the ongoing process to enrich the habitat. The ranch also leases land to neighboring cattlemen.
Green Gulch Ranch plays a large part in the upland habitat revegitation project. The feed range
becomes a management tool while the cattle are relocated
to help rebuild the the habitat and the land in the project.
Rebuilding the health of the meadow is a large part of Green
Gulch Ranch. The Ranch continues to help the habitat in many
new ways.
